LIFE stands for Life in a Family Environment. LIFE Teams are an opportunity for anyone to get meaningfully involved in carrying out the mission of TLCC. There are many opportunities to serve both on Sundays and throughout the week, in-person and online. Discover all the ways you can serve at The Life Christian Church.

Monday Administrative Support: Assists with processing data from the Connection Cards

 

General Administrative Support: Assists with general office administrative tasks 

 

Weekend Prep: Equips the Worship Auditorium with all materials needed in seat back pockets for a successful Sunday experience, including connection cards, LIFE notes, etc. 

Christine’s Kitchen Leadership: Assists with a team that helps to coordinate and provides hospitality and a warm meals to those facing food insecurity in our local community 

 

Newark Y Birthday Club Leadership: Assists with a leadership team responsible for hosting monthly birthday parties and holiday parties for the children and families living in the Newark Y

 

Newark Y Events Coordinator: Assists with the planning, 

coordinating, recruiting, and leading of Newark Y special events.

 

Thanksgiving Basket Drive: Assists with a team who coordinates efforts around collecting goods and assembling Thanksgiving baskets, which provide full Thanksgiving dinners and food to members of our local communities

Stage Host:  Host stage communications during Sunday Worship Experiences and/or at special events hosted by TLCC

 

Photography: Capture the story of our journey together during Sunday Worship Experiences and/or speicial events and help spread our message of hope

 

Production: Bring our services to life by joining the Production team, where your skills in lighting, sound, and video can create unforgettable worship experiences and inspire our community

 

Worship Band: Use your musical talents to lead our congregation in powerful, uplifting worship that touches hearts and transforms lives

 

Worship Singers/Choir: Let your voice assist our Worship Leaders in leading our congregation in heartfelt worship, creating moments of profound connection and spiritual upliftment

Closing Logistics: Join a team that helps keep our building secure  when not in use by optimizing our closing logistics

 

Stage Build and Design:  Assist with the design and build of stage sets to enhance the ambience of the stage and the overall worship experience

 

Security: Provide security detail for our weekend worship experiences and/or church-wide events to increase the overall safety of our congregants 

The Life Café: Create a warm hospitable environment by serving congregants beverages, and good eats at our Life Cafe. 

 

Next Steps: Greet guests and congregants at our Next Steps table and help provide them with essential information in order to get meaningfully integrated into the life of our church

 

Greeters: Create a lasting positive first impression with new guests and existing congregants as you greet them upon entering 

 

Hosts: Hospitably direct and serve guests and congregants inside the Worship Auditorium

 

Parking:  Join the Parking Team and be the welcoming face that sets the tone for a positive experience, guiding guests with a smile and ensuring their first impression is one of warmth and hospitality

5th & 6th Grade Teacher: Build relationships with 5th & 6th graders by encouraging them through the lesson, discussion time, games, and prayer

 

Champions Club: Help to promote and nurture the relationship between God and children with special needs by providing one-on-one attention and extra loving care

 

Elementary Small Group Leader: Lead 1st - 4th graders in small group activities and questions to reinforce the Bible story

 

Nursery Teacher: Care for and nurture our infants during service

 

Preschool & Kindergarten Teacher: Teach the kids about God by engaging them in singing worship, the Bible story, and prayer.

 

Tech Team: Serve with the Elementary classes running lights, sound, and ProPresenter

 

Emcee/ Host: Add fun & energy to presentations

 

Registration: Welcome families into KPort and help them register their children for the day 

 

Bible Teacher: Engage kids in the Bible story for the KPort lesson

 

Toddlers Teacher: Care for our toddlers while engaging them in a simple Bible lesson

 

Worship: Lead the 1st - 4th graders in energetic worship

Baptism: Be a part of the Baptism Team, setting up and assisting participants as they take this profound step in their faith journey

 

Curriculum Writer: Help craft impactful and engaging materials that inspire and guide our LIFE Groups

 

Hospital Visitation: Become a beacon of hope by visiting and praying for families in the hospital, offering comfort and support in their time of need

 

Bereavement: Help host funerals at TLCC, providing compassionate care and support to members who have lost loved ones during their time of grief

 

Prayer Partner: Join the Prayer Partner Team and be a vital link in lifting the prayer requests of our church community, offering your prayers and support

 

Welcome & Engagement Team: Helping to shepherd and support groups within TLCC, fostering connection, engagement and spiritual growth

 

Celebrate Recovery:  Lead with compassion in Celebrate Recovery, guiding those overcoming hurts, habits and hang-ups toward healing and freedom

 

Communion Preparation:  Be part of the Communion Preparation Team, ensuring our Sunday gatherings are ready for this sacred act of worship and remembrance

Adult Leader: Join Redline Student Ministries and help guide students toward their maximum God-dreamed life by providing leadership and mentorship.

 

Host: Become a Redline Host and inspire students each week with your engaging stage presence and welcoming spirit.

 

Production Team: Be a part of the Redline Production Team, using your skills in lighting, sound, and video to create dynamic worship experiences that elevate students’ faith journeys.

 

Snack Bar: Serve at the Redline Snack Bar, where your hospitality and refreshments will fuel students’ energy and foster community.

 

First Impressions: Join the First Impressions Team and create a welcoming and hospitable environment for all students arriving at Redline, making them feel at home from the moment they walk in.

 

Teaching Team: Be a part of the Teaching Team and bring our lessons to life from the stage, inspiring students to pursue their God-dreamed potential.

Chat Host: Create a hospitable environment in the host chat on Sundays (Remote)

 

Welcome & Engagement Team: Meaningfully connect with those who attend the online campus each week (Remote)

 

New Here Connector:  Meaningfully connect with new folks attending the Online Campus (Remote) 

 

Gloo Outreach Team: Connect with people outside of TLCC who have expressed wanting to connect to a local church

 

Production Team: Serve the online campus through tech 

support in our Control Room at the West Orange Campus

 

Online Video Host: Provide video communication, which are recorded weekly at the West Orange Campus

 

Online Director: Help to provide a second pair of eyes by providig feedback for the Sunday online worship experience improving its excellence (Remote)
